Types of Funds
Named Fund Restricted ($50,000 minimum)
This is a donor restricted fund for a single purpose such as supporting the
Center for Child and Family Advocacy or CBA’s pro bono program. This
Fund allows the donor to restrict the rate of distribution. It combines immediate
tax benefit with the ability to support the programs and services of the Columbus
Bar Foundation.
Named Fund Unrestricted ($50,000 minimum)
The donor places no restrictions on the gift and allows the Trustees to
use the fund to address some of the greatest needs of the central Ohio legal
community. These gifts transcend the barriers of time and changing circumstances
to address emerging needs and seed programs for the future. Many of the Foundation’s
most innovative programs are supported through this type of fund
Donor Advised Fund ($100,000 minimum)
The donor in conjunction with representative(s) from The CBF recommends
distributions of income and principal from the Fund to support the mission
of the Foundation or other charitable interests at any time. The Fund combines
immediate tax benefits with the ability to support particular areas of interest
consistent with the Foundation’s mission
